KUHN FILLS LAMMA WITH 30 MACHINES

A vast display of 30 machinery items will be exhibited by KUHN Farm Machinery at LAMMA 2027, with UK debuts for several key items and three brand new launches at the show.

Due to be revealed for the first time, KUHN’s versatile Megant tine drill now has a sibling, with the Megant RS providing the same popular 4-row tine drilling setup but without the rear weight of an integrated hopper. Instead, dual distribution heads are fed by a KUHN TF 2300 C front tank, providing a balanced weighted drill for establishing crops in a variety of conditions while a reduced rear axle load will limit compaction. Dual metering units on the hopper feeding the two distribution heads on the drill, allow half width section control.

Available in three widths – 6m, 7m and 8m – the lightweight Megant RS has a low power requirement of 150hp, 180hp and 200hp respectively. The 8m model is capable of 8ha/hr and all drills operate via ISOBUS or KUHN’s VT-30 terminal for non-ISOBUS tractors.

Also released at LAMMA is a new option on KUHN’s popular Vari-Master M plough, with the display model fitted with the Duoliner press kit. The integrated rollers are mounted on two parallelogram linkages that turn over automatically with the plough, with the pressure of the rollers independently adjustable. KUHN’s high-capacity KARAN trailed sprayer and recently launched AXIS 25 will also be on show, along with a host of cultivation and drilling equipment, including a 3m Performer and Espro 4002 R.

In the grassland corner, KUHN will be showing a new pre-series RW 1210 mounted wrapper fitted with the well-known e-TWIN wrapping system. Only previously available on the RW 1610, KUHN’s e-TWIN wrapping design on the RW 1210 allows a single satellite arm to apply two layers of film simultaneously using two 750mm film rolls. Operational benefits include an up to 50% reduction in wrapping times compared with a conventional pre-stretch wrapper and an 8% saving in film costs, thanks to a pre-stretch ratio of up to 90%. INTELLIWRAP also improves forage preservation, allowing operators to apply the desired film layers – even or odd – to suit storage, crop and wrapping conditions.

The stand will feature KUHN’s competition baler – an FB 3130 with net and film binding – with entries still being accepted until early January to win use of the machine throughout 2027. The winner is planned to be announced at the show. A larger VBP 7160 on stand is now available with the OC 33 sliding knife cassette, offering a 34mm theoretical chop length.

An update to the GA 7631 P mounted rake launched earlier this year, KUHN will be showing a smaller version – a 6.6m GA 6601 P – at the show. The mounted option allows users greater flexibility to access fields where the length and turning circle of a trailed machine would compromise access. KUHN has discontinued the GA 6501 P.

Also new for 2027 is a set of FC 9530+ rear butterfly mowers, with optional ISOBUS operation. This upgrade simplifies setup and use of the wide mowers while complementing the retrofit ISOBUS kit available for older non-ISOBUS FC+ machines. The KUHN stand will be stocked with a comprehensive selection of other machines, from Profile and Primor feeding and bedding machines; the 5.7m reach Multi-Longer 5757 SPAL hedgecutter; and KUHN’s 60, 800, and 1200 CCI ISOBUS displays alongside the CCI A3 joystick.

“As you can see, we’re making a big splash at the show with a wide selection of our machinery portfolio on display, and hopefully something to suit everyone,” says Sian Pritchard, KUHN’s UK managing director. “Our range is constantly evolving to meet the demands of farming and LAMMA offers a great chance for us to show our new products and updates whilst speaking to new and existing users about how we can continue to improve daily tasks.”

KUHN will be on stand 18.300.
